The Two Museums Program brings black and Jewish students with campus leaders on a three-day trip to visit the US Holocaust Memorial Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture to create a better understanding among students of diverse backgrounds and to motivate students to use their platform to combat all forms of hatred and intolerance in society and on college campuses.

Every day, we read about another act of racism, antisemitism or another form of hatred. The Two Museums Program believes remembering and learning from the past will ensure a better future for all humankind.

The National Museum of African American History & Culture tells the American story through the lens of African American history and culture. This is America’s story, and this museum is for all Americans. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum inspires citizens and leaders worldwide to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity.

Dr. David Machlis, an Associate Professor at Adelphi University, founded the Two Museums Program. It is sponsored by the Adelphi University Division of Student Affairs in affiliation with the International March of the Living.
